The successful candidate will provide essential support to the team, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the execution of sourcing, purchasing, and contract activities. This position is ideal for a proactive individual looking to build a strong foundational knowledge of procurement principles, cost management, and efficiency drivers within a professional setting. The successful candidate will report to the Procurement Manager. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Functional (Job Responsibilities) Assist in the execution of the sourcing process, including market research, identifying potential suppliers, and preparing comparison documentation. Support the management of various corporate service contracts by assisting with documentation, filing, and performance monitoring tasks. Contribute to cost-saving initiatives by analyzing basic corporate service spending data and identifying initial areas for optimization. Help maintain supplier records and act as a point of contact for routine supplier inquiries to ensure timely service and information flow. Execute daily administrative procurement tasks, such as processing purchase requisitions and orders, and providing logistical support for larger team projects. Support the assessment of basic risks within the procurement and supply chain process through data compilation and verification. Education/Qualification: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, or a relevant supply-chain qualification. Experience/Requirements: 6 months internship duration is preferred. Experience through academic projects or part-time work is a plus. A strong interest in procurement, supply chain, and business operations is essential. Familiarity with concepts of sustainability, green procurement, or e-procurement systems (like Oracle) is a bonus. Working proficiency in English and Malay (written/spoken) and competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel).
