Description

Intern - Procurement (Based at Bodyline - Horana) Bodyline is a joint venture between MAS Holdings, Triumph International Germany and Mast Industries USA, offering apparel solutions from concept to delivery. Bodyline specializes in producing fitted garments and superior next-to-skin performance wear; and is the go-to vendor for bra innovations. The company has evolved from making simple minimalist styles for a single customer to multiple styles and silhouettes across product categories for global brands. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to represent the procurement function whilst integrating closely with the Merchandising teams, by servicing the allocated customers on all relevant procurement functions, in order to ensure smooth operations in the merchandising team as well as the manufacturing process. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support team to follow-up with order confirmation process within procurement team by respecting to the timelines. Communicate with business teams on the possible raw materials air cost and other cost of failures on delivery deviations for items along with the reasons. Support team to follow up on the operational issues and support the team when required. Supporting preparing material related risk items/ style report and participate for weekly alignment call with customer, representing the Procurement team. Support team to coordinate Raw Material Write off process within the Customer Account with Finance, track major Cost of failures and initiate problem solving and discussions to improve. Ensure compliance with the defined governance framework including upholding the MAS DNA, following group policies & procedures, best practices relevant laws & regulations and undertake every necessary action to comply with the governance framework. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Undergraduate in Supply Chain, Physical Science or any discipline from a recognized university. Negotiation & presentations skills. Experience in apparel manufacturing setup and knowledge in SAP will be added advantage.

Responsibilities

Support the procurement team in order confirmation processes and communicate with business teams regarding raw material costs and delivery issues. Participate in weekly alignment calls with customers and ensure compliance with governance frameworks.
