Job Title: Entry-Level Quality Engineer Team: Quality Engineering Location: Bangalore Experience: 6 months experience or internship in software testing Job Overview On our Quality Engineering team, you will help ensure the reliability and performance of our software products. You’ll learn and apply end-to-end testing processes, collaborate closely with development and product teams, and gain hands-on experience with various testing methodologies and tools. Key Responsibilities • Learn and apply the software testing life cycle (STLC) and quality assurance best practices. • Assist in the creation, review, and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test scripts. • Execute manual and automated functional tests to validate new features and bug fixes. • Perform API testing to verify endpoints, data contracts, and error handling. • Conduct data validation and data-driven testing to ensure integrity across different storage layers. • Log, track, and verify defects in the issue-tracking system; collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues. • Participate in requirement and design reviews to provide feedback from a quality perspective. • Support continuous integration pipelines by integrating automated tests into build workflows. • Contribute to process improvements, test coverage analysis, and metric reporting. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 0 to 6 months of internship or co-op experience in software testing or quality assurance. • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. • Familiarity with fundamental testing concepts: test planning, test execution, defect life cycle, and test reporting. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively in team settings. Advantageous Skills & Experience • Proficiency or coursework in Python, Playwright for test automation. • Experience or exposure to API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST-assured). • Knowledge of data testing techniques, SQL querying, and data validation. • Hands-on experience with functional UI automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress). • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI). • Understanding of performance testing fundamentals and tools (e.g., JMeter).

Responsibilities

The intern will learn and apply the software testing life cycle and assist in creating and maintaining test plans and cases. They will execute tests, log defects, and support continuous integration pipelines.
