DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The intern will work for Marriott International's Rooms Operations team. Key responsibilities include: Project Development: Participate in high-level project development meetings with our leadership team. Contribute fresh perspectives and valuable input to drive forward rooms operations-related initiatives. Project Management: Assist in the launch and management of key projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively. Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research on the latest trends and performance metrics in Rooms Discipline. Provide insights that will help the team stay competitive and innovative. Data Analysis: Consolidate operational data, support the analysis of findings, and present actionable insights to drive continuous improvement. Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with hotel leaders to gather information and feedback, ensuring projects are completed successfully in a timely manner. REQUIREMENTS The candidate should possess the following skills and attributes: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Additional programming skills would be advantageous. ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with colleagues across all departments. A proactive and project-oriented mindset with a knack for managing multiple tasks and priorities. Strong data analysis capabilities to support your research and projects. A genuine interest in the hospitality industry and a keen eye on its evolving trends. A high degree of poise, tact, and resourcefulness in obtaining, presenting, and interpreting information effectively. Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and projects. LEARNING OBJECTIVES This internship presents interns with the opportunity to identify emerging hospitality trends and actively engage in rooms operations-related projects. Interns will play a pivotal role in the ideation, conceptualization, and launch of initiatives aimed at optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of rooms operations within a world-class hospitality company. Moreover, interns will actively utilize data to analyze problems and provide data-driven strategies. Through active participation in these projects, interns will gain invaluable insights and skills essential for thriving in the hospitality industry. They will also have the chance to collaborate closely with various stakeholders gaining hands-on experience in communication and strategic decision-making within a dynamic corporate environment. QUALIFICATION STANDARD Education: Hospitality, Business Management, Economics or Marketing related studies are preferred. Requirements: Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident holder, or valid Student Pass / Work-Holiday Pass The candidate must be prepared to commit to a six months' internship.
