What you will do

For the Technology Department of Polymer and Adhesive Architecture at the tesa headquarters in Norderstedt, we are looking for an intern. From day one, you will be part of exciting and challenging tasks.

  • You will co-develop innovative and sustainable adhesive components that include natural and synthetic rubbers, resins, and the polymerization of polyurethane polymers, formulations, and coatings with solvent-based and hotmelt technologies.
  • You will test laboratory adhesive samples and prototypes using various chemical and physical measurement methods (adhesion, cohesion, tackiness, tensile testing, etc.).
  • You will assist with customer-specific application tests. You will document, interpret, and discuss the results of your developments in an appropriate form with the project teams.

What you will need

  • You are an enrolled student, ideally in the field of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
  • You have experience in the laboratory, particularly with polymer synthesis, formulation, and analytical testing.
  • You possess confident English language skills, German skills are advantageous.
  • You act with initiative, take responsibility, and show flexibility.
  • You have knowledge of MS Office software such as Excel, Outlook and Teams. You demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills
