We’re hiring an Intern Shop Technician at our rental facility in Columbia, MO, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.The Intern: Shop Technician is an apprentice technician completing technical schooling for heavy equipment maintenance. They will perform general maintenance and repairs for customer and company-owned equipment and machinery while maintaining all safety and documentation standards. The Intern: Shop Technician will learn the fundamentals of shop and safety practices; EquipmentShare systems, software, and communication best practices; work orders and OEM documentation; circuits and electrical systems; hydraulic systems; engines and preventive maintenance; proper use of tools; and vehicle frame and chassis inspection and maintenance. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and offers overtime pay after working 40 hours. (On call during the weekend only in special circumstances) Primary Responsibilities Inspect and report equipment condition before and after usage Document incoming and outgoing equipment Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably Assist with routine inspections, repairs, maintenance and equipment cleaning Demonstrate, load and unload equipment Maintain equipment inventory systems according to standard operating procedures Serve as responsible for general yard and shop cleanup in accordance with company standards Maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred) Why EquipmentShare?
