Description Summary: As a SMT intern, you'll gain hands-on experience operating equipment, performing soldering and inspections, and interpreting industry standards. Requirements Essential Role and Responsibilities: Set up and operate automated SMT assembly equipment including Screen Printer, Glue Dispensing Machine, Pick and Place Machine, Reflow Oven, Selective Solder, Agilent 5d-Xray Perform basic soldering and rework of SMT components Perform visual inspections of SMT assemblies Interpret IPC-A-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications Flexibility to train and move between functional areas Qualifications and Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience working with SMT line a plus Familiarity with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and SMT assembly process a plus Must be computer literate Other Skills and Abilities: Familiar with and ability to use hand tools like screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc. Must be responsible and accountable for quality of inspection and work performed Must practice safety daily, reporting all unsafe conditions to management Effective communication and teamwork skills. Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
