Description

About Origin & Future Makers
Origin Consulting partners with developers and contractors to deliver employment, skills and social value programmes that meet Section 106 (s106) employment and skills planning obligations. We design, deliver, and report on commitments around apprenticeships, work placements and community benefits.
Future Makers is our delivery arm, focused on upskilling the next generation of built-environment workers. We run school engagements, work experience, targeted employability support and help match apprentices to roles on live projects.
Together, we ensure local people benefit from regeneration and that contractors have the support to deliver and evidence high-quality social value.

The Role

  • This is an exciting opportunity to join a start-up with real scope to grow. You’ll gain hands-on experience across social value delivery, employability and community engagement. Please note: a significant portion of this role is administrative (data collection, tracking, coordination and reporting).

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration & Reporting: Support contractors to manage s106 employment & skills targets; gather evidence; maintain trackers; produce monthly reports.
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships with local residents and groups near development sites; support inclusive access to opportunities.
  • Programme Delivery: Help organise work experience, coordinate school activities and match apprentices to roles with contractors.
  • Bid Support: Assist with drafting bid responses and proposals on social value, employment and skills.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong written and verbal communication * Organised, detail-oriented and reliable with admin tasks
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Passion for upskilling young people, women and people out of work

Desirable

  • Understanding of housing/construction/the built environment
  • Experience facilitating youth voice or co-production initiatives
  • Interest in social value, community development or inclusive growth
