The position is on-site, offering a structured environment with mentorship, peer collaboration, and opportunities to participate in company-wide activities. Accountabilities · Analyze, clarify, and document software requirements and functional specifications. · Develop and maintain software using Java and related technologies in accordance with project specifications. · Validate and test software to ensure compliance with functional and technical requirements. · Create, update, and maintain development documentation. · Collaborate and communicate effectively with IT team members on project progress and challenges. · Follow established IT department processes and procedures. · Support additional tasks and projects as assigned. · Currently enrolled sophomore, junior, or senior at an undergraduate college or university, majoring in Computer Science, MIS, or a Math major with technical coursework. (May 2026 graduates not eligible.) · Exposure to Java is required; familiarity with SQL queries and Object-Oriented Programming concepts is a plus. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire to learn and grow in a professional software development environment. · Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration within a professional IT team. · Ability to work on-site in West Des Moines, IA, for the full internship duration. · Paid internship for up to 40 hours per week from May 18 to August 7, 2026. · Mentorship and professional development in a progressive Agile IT department. · Opportunity to work on real-world projects with potential for full-time employment after the internship. · Office environment with individual workspace, casual dress code, on-site fitness center, and cafeteria. · Participation in employee appreciation events and company-wide activities.
