We have an opportunity for an Intern - Software Engineer to join our Aerospace team in Brno.
You will use your knowledge of engineering fundamentals to complete project tasks regarding applications that are essential for pilots during flight, allowing you to develop skills in an exciting industry niche. You will interact with internal customers and team members to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications and collaborate across teams located in different time zones, which will give you a chance to learn from each other and grow.
This is role working schedule is for 20h/week as an average.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in C++ / C
  • Student of Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
  • Eagerness to learn and proactive approach, with an ability to work in complex aerospace area and learn through experience.
  • Good troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues arising from applications or flight testing.
  • Good command of English language.
Responsibilities
  • Development, verification, and certification of real-time embedded aviation software for Cockpit Display System in Display & Graphics team, including preparing map resources or test the avionics Display & Graphics software, which you develop, on a real avionics’ hardware/platform.
  • The software development includes design, implementation, testing, and documentation of the software in accordance with DO-178C guidelines.
  • Responsible for executing pre-defined project subtasks to meet customer specification.
  • Ensure own work is completed on time and to specifications.
  • Exchange of task level information (system requirements, technical drawings, specifications, etc.) with team members, also participation in project meetings, including being a part of an agile global development team.
