Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are offering a 4-month (September to December) Engineering Technical Services internship based in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador at our Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) operations. Relocation to Labrador City is required for this role. Accommodation and relocation assistance to Labrador City and return upon end of internship will be provided.

IN THIS ROLE:

The focus of this role is in the Discipline Engineering Department supporting Capital Sustaining projects team as Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering co-op student. Our internship will allow you to be involved in research, design, development, testing of aspects of mining, mineral process operations and capital project development and execution.

Rio Tinto is a global company and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside of Labrador City.
