Intern / Summer Associate, Asset Management Greenbrook Partners Location: 625 Broadway, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10012 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM Duration: Flexible - Summer 2025 Compensation: $20.00 per hour About Greenbrook Partners: Greenbrook Partners (“GB”) is a privately held vertically integrated real estate company with over $2B of assets under management. GB looks to find opportunities to capitalize on value and maximize returns for our investors by revitalizing undermanaged, undercapitalized and obsolete assets. Since 2018, GB has acquired and redeveloped over 2,000 residential units in Brooklyn, making GB one of the most active investors in the NYC multifamily market. With our expansion, Greenbrook is seeking to add a Summer Associate to our team. The Summer Associate will work within the asset management function and will have exposure to all aspects of our business including acquisitions, development, construction, accounting and leasing. This position will have direct interaction with a top-tier institutional private equity investor and correspond with a national lender on a regular basis. The position is in-person based in New York City. Responsibilities: Assist in the formulation and execution of asset management strategies to maximize asset performance. Support the analysis of portfolio data to make recommendations on business plan strategy and operational efficiencies. Collaborate with Property Management, Construction and Leasing teams to support the execution of business plans for each asset. Assist in the review of periodic property reports and track operating performance. Prepare updates, summarize results and respond to information requests. Assist in budget process and preparation of the annual strategic plan. Assist in the compilation, dissection and presentation of property and portfolio performance to investors. Work with the senior team to evaluate long term capital and strategic financing, and recapitalizations. Work with the transaction team for both the acquisition and disposition of properties. Your Required Skills: Concentration or major in real estate or finance preferred. Capable of reviewing and deciphering large amounts of data and extrapolating information into viable actions. Strong excel modeling and data skills are required. Experience with SQL, Spreadsheet Server, PowerBI and/or Python is desired but not required. Motivated and collaborative individual who can be successful working as part of a results-oriented team. Clear understanding of key real estate agreements including leases, purchase and sale agreements, management and leasing agreements, partnership agreements, development agreements and loan agreements. Strong interpersonal/communication skills; ability to develop and ask questions, and to make presentations to senior management, investment committee or clients, when necessary. Capability of simultaneously handling multiple assignments and to direct and monitor the activities of others on a systematic basis. Proficient knowledge of and experience with MS Office including Excel, Word & PowerPoint; Experience with Monday.com and Yardi is a plus. Strong desire to learn and grow is valuable for this position and our company. Must be a collaborative team player with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to rapidly changing market opportunities and conditions.
