JOB POSTING JOB TITLE: Intern DEPARTMENT: REPORTS TO: General Manager POSITION PURPOSE: The Intern is responsible for carrying out operations for the marina. The Intern’s primary responsibility is learning as much information as possible during the duration of the Internship. Gain experience in marina operations by observing multiple facets of business, such as scheduling, financial reporting, sales training, inventory control and retail management. The Intern projects a professional company image through all types of interaction. As this is a fast pace environment, must be able to work under pressure. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Learn and shadow all aspects of running a marina 2. Gain understanding of AP/AR by working directly with the Marina Admin Manager 3. Assists with the black water pump, waste disposal and facility sanitation 4. May operate the cash register, depending on the marina’s needs EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1. Must currently be enrolled in a University, preferably pursing a Management, Hospitality, or other related program. 2. Excellent customer service skills 3. Must be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity 4. Excellent attention to detail WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds 2. Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency 3. Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally 4. Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed. Responsibilities

The Intern is primarily responsible for learning about and carrying out operations for the marina, gaining experience across various business facets like scheduling, finance, sales, and inventory control. Duties include shadowing all aspects of marina management, understanding accounts payable/receivable, assisting with facility sanitation, and potentially operating the cash register.
