Description
Intern ‐ Sustainability (Based at Battaramulla) MAS is Sri Lanka’s largest exporter and South Asia’s largest design-to-delivery solution providers in apparel and textile manufacturing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Map the scope and conduct baseline surveys of pollution in rivers, lagoons, and lakes in Sri Lanka * Conduct research on global best practices and policies in waste management * Coordinate with government agencies and other project partners throughout the project * Conduct biodiversity baseline surveys and research at selected project sites * Prepare project-related reports, presentations, and documentation * Assist with project-related procurement work   KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS * Undergraduate student or recent graduate in Technology / Biological Science graduate * Previous research and project experiences in Waste management, Community engagement, Biodiversity conservation * Previous experience in ArcGIS and other mapping software * Willingness to travel and work on-site * Strong communication and coordination skills  
Responsibilities
The intern will conduct baseline surveys on pollution and biodiversity in Sri Lankan water bodies and project sites. They will also research global waste management practices and coordinate with government agencies and partners.
