Treasury Department (TD) Funding Division (TDFD) 1. Internship Topic Funding and Capital Markets 2. Summary of Job Description The Funding Division mobilizes cost‑efficient funding for ADB operations through the issuance of bonds in global and domestic capital markets. Maintaining strong and dynamic engagement with investors, rating agencies, and underwriting banks is central to implementing ADB's funding and investor relations strategy. The intern will: Develop innovative fixed‑income pricing tools for both vanilla and structured notes to strengthen the Bank's agility in global capital markets. Analyze secondary market data and derivatives to identify cross‑currency funding opportunities. Support data quality, automation, and market‑data integrity initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and enhance your professional communication skills. Build hands‑on expertise in fixed‑income markets, structured products, and treasury funding strategies. 3. Period of Assignment Duration: 11 weeks Timing: June 2026 onwards 4. Location ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines 5. Expected Outcomes Gain on-the-job insight into fixed income markets, funding strategies and derivatives Develop innovative pricing tools for fixed income securities (both public and private placement bond issues) Review and identify cross-currency funding opportunities through secondary market analytics and derivatives 6. Education Requirements Currently enrolled in a master's degree or PhD program in engineering, finance, mathematics or economics 7. Relevant Experience and Other Requirements Preferably with 2-3 years of professional experience in investment banking, sales and trading or financial management preferred Knowledge of fixed income markets, financial mathematics and derivatives (OTC) Excellent analytical, quantitative and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and with our teams Experience with Bloomberg Terminal, Microsoft Office, Visual Basic for Applications Experience with Java, C++, and/or Python is a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
