Job Summary: Under direct supervision, uses basic knowledge and skills obtained through education to obtain on-the-job training experience in the areas of Health Promotion and Obesity Prevention, Substance Misuse Prevention, Education & Workforce Development, or Behavioral Health. Interns will have the opportunity to actively participate in program deliverables including direct education and/or community-based projects that address policy, system or environmental changes, and/or public health.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  * Assisting with facilitation of program deliverables.  * Providing service to the following age populations: children, adolescents, adults, and senior citizens in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.  * Maintaining professional relationships with community partners to ensure the successful delivery of programming.  * Conduct research and compile data for reports and presentations. * Assist in the development and implementation of programs and initiatives.  * Support outreach efforts to raise awareness about public health issues in the community.  * Participate in community events and health fairs to promote education and services.  * Collaborate with team members to develop educational materials and resources for various audiences.  * Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing databases.  * Assist with program evaluation and data analysis to assess the effectiveness of interventions.   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: * Cultural competency Skill in: * Public speaking * Facilitation and/or classroom training experience (preferred) * Data entry (preferred)  * Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office and Teams Ability to: •           Travel to multiple sites to provide services  •           Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. •           Establish and maintain effective working relationships  Educational/Previous Experience Requirements: * Minimum Degree Required: None. * Required Disciplines: 1. Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Health Education, Community Health or a related field ~or~ * Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources. Licenses/Certifications: * Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire: 1.  None Working Conditions: Hours:   Normal business hours. Ability to adjust hours of work based on the community needs, including some evening and weekends.
