Autodesk is looking for a summer intern to join a highly collaborative Experience Design team. Autodesk software is used daily by millions of design and engineering professionals all over the world – who also need to manage their subscriptions, software, and licenses! Help us evolve our platform to meet new business and customer needs by crafting clear, approachable experiences that guide customers easily through these necessary tasks.
The Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) organization enables Autodesk product teams and Autodesk customers to accelerate outcomes by providing a trusted platform of shared and enabling capabilities. PSET XD teams’ partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to deliver front end web-based experiences, APIs, services, and infrastructure that our customers and developers use to access, manage, and extend the capabilities of Autodesk’s design and make software. Experience Design (XD) within PSET includes interaction design, visual design, research, and content strategy.
Position Overview

As an Experience Design Intern, your work may include the following:

• Help develop and conduct usability tests and other customer research.
• Use customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and design decisions.
• Visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes or mock-ups to conceptual presentations to highly technical documents and diagrams.
• Collaborate closely with one or more local or remote Agile Scrum teams, working iteratively to deliver customer value.
• Run competitive analyses to identify industry best practices or key capabilities related to specific projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program in user experience design or related field, with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or later
• You have profound empathy for people and want to create the best experiences, even in apparently mundane tasks.
• You are an enthusiastic collaborator, able to work with people from different disciplines to get the job done.
• You’re excited about digging into the design process alongside other experience designers, researchers, and content strategists, working on real projects while receiving guidance and feedback from senior members of our Experience Design team.

Desired Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of qualitative or quantitative research and analysis.
• A portfolio of work that demonstrates your user experience design process and skills
• Experience with Figma and/or other current design tools

About the Canada Intern Program
The 2025 Canada program runs for 16 weeks, May 5th to August 22nd for the Summer Term. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our Internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.
