Description

To perform internal audit and other assignments under direct supervision of other senior members of the Internal Audit Team and Chief Internal Auditor with the objective of providing independent and objective assessments that assist management in improving organization’s operations and safeguarding EMARAT’s assets and revenue in adherence with EMARAT’s approved Audit Plan. Key Accountabilities Internal Auditing: * Assists with the preparation of the annual audit work schedule * Conducts audit works in conformity to the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing * Conducts operations and/or financial audits in assigned area as directed by senior personnel * Participates in the annual physical stock check of inventory and fixed assets, preparing audit reports as required * Liaises with department representatives to obtain information and/or answer enquires on audit and audit controls * Carries out special investigations / studies as assigned by CIA * Conducts scheduled and surprise cash and inventory counts and other Internal Audit related activities as required. Reporting: * Assists in the preparation of preliminary audit reports of findings which include the work performed, identification of deficiencies and recommendations for corrective actions and/or changes on procedures for senior personnel review * Assists in the preparation of regular audit reports and follows-up on previous audit recommendations * Maintains and updates internal systems files as directed Qualifications / Requirements Knowledge: * Thorough knowledge of International Standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Education: * Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance * Professional certification from an accredited Accounting/Audit organization (e.g. CIA, CA, CFE, CPA, CFE (preferred) Experience: * A minimum of 2 years experience within Internal Auditing * Experience in the Oil & Gas Distribution Industry preferred Competencies: * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Proficient in Computer Assisted Audit techniques (CAATs) Emarat is a multi-channel power and energy company with a much-loved network of service stations and fuel depots across Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Responsibilities

Perform internal and financial audits to provide objective assessments that improve operations and safeguard company assets. Assist in preparing audit schedules, conducting investigations, and drafting reports on findings and corrective actions.
