SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of full time experience in internal auditing, preferably within the hotel or hospitality sector.
  • Professional certification (CIA, CPA, or equivalent) highly regarded.
  • Deep understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal controls.
  • Solid knowledge of hospitality operations and relevant compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Excel.
  • High attention to detail, independence, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of hotel financial and operational processes.
  • Oversee revenue streams (accommodation, food & beverage, and events) and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Evaluate internal controls, data integrity, cash handling, and inventory management.
  • Assess compliance with hotel policies, hospitality industry regulations, and relevant laws.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings and recommendations to management.
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments to gather data and understand processes.
  • Identify areas of potential risk and recommend improvements to minimize losses and inefficiencies.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry standards, and best practices in hospitality.
