JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Deliver effective communication strategies aligned to organisational strategic objectives, using CSC’s communication framework Inform Involve, Improve to ensure messages are purposeful, audience-focused, and continuously improving.
  • Effectively prioritise and manage competing communication and engagement demands to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of work.
  • Capture, analyse, and report on engagement and communicate data to generate insights, measure impact, and inform strategic decisions for future improvements.
  • Lead the delivery of CSC Vision sessions and Leaders Connect sessions in collaboration with business areas, creating meaningful engagement opportunities that connect leaders and employees to our purpose, values, and strategic direction.
  • Foster collaboration, and maintain strong working relationships with the People team, business units and senior leaders to support the successful delivery of internal communications and engagement programs.
  • Ensure all communication activities, items and deadlines are accounted for via communications schedules, rollout plans and briefing requests and are seamlessly flowed through formalised approval and publishing processes.
  • Adherence to in house style guides, communication content is on brand, contemporary, a consistent style and tone of voice and is of the highest quality.
  • Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging trends in internal communication and engagement and contribute ideas to enhance communication approaches and tools.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualifications in communications, media, journalism, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years’ experience developing and delivering internal communication and engagement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences and multiple channels, including digital platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead communication and engagement projects from start to finish in complex or changing environments.
  • Experience using data to measure impact, gain insights, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • A creative and innovative approach, with enthusiasm for adopting new tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Stream/Clipchamp, MS Planner, Canva, Swift, SLIDO, and Squiz Intranet is desirable.
