JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced communications professional who can develop effective communication plans, evaluate impact, and work collaboratively across multiple services to deliver excellent internal communications and engagement.
You will act as part of a flexible team to deliver internal communications and engagement functions. You will lead and shape internal engagement activity and act as a point of contact for internal communications within the Planning Inspectorate, sourcing, planning, drafting and publishing engaging content to increase employee engagement.
Working alongside another part time Internal Communications and Engagement Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of regular, targeted, effective and engaging internal communications, identifying opportunities and drafting high quality content. You will deliver regular all-staff briefings, support employee engagement events, and gather insight on staff communication needs to inform channel selection and improve effectiveness through evaluation.
You will support Planning Inspectorate units to devise, deliver and evaluate effective communication plans for their projects and initiatives.
The role requires establishing and maintaining close relationships with internal stakeholders across the organisation, working collaboratively to support delivery of strategic objectives while maintaining high standards of propriety and ethics.
