This 6-month Fixed Term Contract sits within the Global Internal Communications team, a strategic function which serves to rally our people around shared beliefs, mission and goals. As a small but powerful team, they focus on objective-driven storytelling to connect and inspire our disparate global audience, weaving creativity into strategy to achieve measurable results. As our Internal Communications Manager you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the delivery of a global internal communications strategy, delivering key projects aligned with our goals around the employee experience at DMs
- Delivering impactful communications and across all communication medium in the Dr. Martens style and tone of voice. This will include copywriting, email production, intranet management, event execution, building presentations and directing video production
- Understanding the bigger picture and connecting individual outcomes to larger strategic company goals
- Ensuring the business is kept up to date with what is happening at Dr. Martens
- Proactively seeking feedback for yourself and providing feedback and insight on the work of the broader internal communications team and the work we deliver
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:
- Extensive experience delivering internal communications at a strategic level within organisations similar to Dr. Martens
- Excellent copywriting and presentation skills, with the ability to understand and adapt the approach for different audiences
- A team player who wants to take a hands-on approach to delivering strategic campaigns and projects for a diverse global audience.
- Great project management skills, ensuring high quality work is delivered on time, including managing and influencing stakeholders that enable this work
- Experience taking full ownership of communication delivery across the channels we utilise at Dr. Martens. Additional skills with creative software (e.g. Adobe suite) an advantage but not essential
