We now have an exciting opportunity for an employee communications manager to join our Communications team in the Sydney CBD office on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the role of Communications Business Partner, Operations will partner with executive and senior leaders to design and deliver employee and corporate communications to frontline employees, supporting understanding and connection to divisional strategy, operational priorities and key culture and change programs. This is a high-impact role with a focus on turning complex operational and strategic information into clear, compelling messaging for frontline teams nationally. You will work closely with Group Executives and General Managers, providing strategic advice on communications, engagement, and issues management. Key responsibilities Partner with Executive Leadership Team member and divisional General Managers to build and deliver divisional communication strategies and materials aligned to business, culture, and change priorities. Develop and deliver high-quality communication materials and events for our Operations division, including executive emails, Town Halls, frontline updates, Empower articles, and Viva Engage content. Provide strategic communications advice and coaching to senior leaders on messaging, tone, change communications, and issues/crisis management. Ensure divisional communications are planned, aligned, and integrated with enterprise-wide communication strategy, governance, and reporting. Establish and maintain communication systems and processes that ensure timely, consistent and effective employee messaging. Monitor communication effectiveness and engagement, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Your background Proven experience in internal or corporate communications within a large, complex organisation - experience partnering with Operations teams and delivering employee communications to frontline employees in energy or related industry is highly desirable. Strong capability in advising senior leaders and developing communication strategies that support engagement, change and organisational priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, engaging messaging. Confident presenter with strong storytelling skills and experience delivering communications through multiple channels and formats. Ability to manage competing priorities, operate calmly under pressure, and deliver high-quality outputs at pace. Collaborative working style, with well-developed stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence across diverse teams.
