Description We’re seeking a creative and strategic Internal Communications Manager to help shape how employees experience communication at Forgent. This role is equal parts storyteller, channel strategist, content creator, and culture builder. As our Internal Communications Manager, you’ll help create the stories, experiences, and communication rhythms that connect employees to our business, our culture, and each other. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how we communicate across our growing organization, supporting everything from frontline updates and leadership messaging to major company initiatives and employee recognition. The ideal candidate understands that great internal communication is more than delivering information, it’s about creating clarity, trust, alignment, and pride in where we work. Key Responsibilities Communication System & Channel Ownership Manage and optimize internal communication channels (digital, print, in-person) Establish and maintain a consistent communication cadence across locations Ensure alignment and clarity across all employee audiences, especially frontline teams Frontline & Site Communications Partner with plant leaders and HR to deliver clear, timely updates to production employees Develop and deploy: Employee app/social feed content, Digital screen content, Printed communications, Supervisor toolkits Ensure consistency across all facilities while allowing for local relevance Change & Initiative Communications Support major company initiatives and organizational changes Translate business strategies into: Communication plans, FAQs, Leader talking points, Employee-facing materials Manage timelines and execution across multiple concurrent initiatives Amplify and support culture-building initiatives including employee recognition, annual engagement survey and cultural events/celebrations Town Halls & Enterprise Events Support the execution of enterprise and site-level town halls Develop presentations and communication materials aligned to leadership messaging Coordinate run-of-show, content collection, and post-event follow-up Content Development Draft clear, concise, and engaging communications for a variety of audiences Design and format content for maximum clarity and usability, not just readability Adapt messaging visually and verbally for different channels and literacy levels Employee Listening & Feedback Support employee listening efforts through surveys and feedback channels Use communication metrics, employee feedback, and listening data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and shape communication strategies that improve clarity, engagement, and alignment. Ensure follow-up communications close the loop with employees Qualifications 5–8+ years of internal communications or related experience Bachelors degree preferred, open to different areas of study. Experience supporting frontline or manufacturing environments strongly preferred Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills (PowerPoint proficiency required) Strong visual communication skills, including advanced PowerPoint capabilities (storyboarding, layout, data visualization, and slide design) Experience supporting organizational change initiatives Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at multiple levels Disclaimer The statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
