Overview The Communications Specialist is responsible for managing and developing content for internal channels as well as other duties as part of the Communications Department at CommUnityCare. This position will curate, manage, and provide content for channels including staff emails; create and schedule employee engagement content for CommUnityCare’s Viva Engage platform; the all-team employee newsletter The Weekly Brief; support operations and clinical communications; and CommUnityCare's Intranet. This position will proactively work with the Communications team, members of the CommUnityCare’s executive and leadership teams, Central Health enterprise departments (People Department and Joint Tech), and others, as well as with vendors and partners who collaborate with the district. Hybrid = Individuals in this position may work both at an approved off-site location and onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on business needs Responsibilities Essential Functions Curates, manages, and provides content for channels including staff emails; presentations at team and staff meetings; the all-team employee newsletter The Weekly Brief; Viva Engage and CommUnityCare’s corporate Intranet. Proactively works with the Communications team, members of the CommUnityCare executive and leadership teams, CommUnityCare employee-facing departments (including Central Health People and Joint Tech Departments), and others, as well as with vendors and partners who collaborate with the district. Works closely with the People department and leaders across CommUnityCare to develop plans, goals, strategies, and tactics to reach and engage employees, partners and vendors, and prospective CommUnityCare. Leads in crafting a comprehensive, holistic approach to keeping employees informed and interested in organizational content that engages, inspires, and motivates in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan. Plans and coordinates quality assurance, review, approval, and distribution of communication products to both internal and external audiences of CommUnityCare. Serves as a communications advisor within CommUnityCare. Ensures that employee-facing content and messaging is consistent with CommUnityCare’s external communications in facts, emphasis and tone. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, information studies, psychology, marketing, or related field required. High School Diploma or equivalent (higher degree accepted) Required Work Experience: 2 years full-time professional experience in an organizational communications department or a newsroom (of any size), or the equivalent required.
