What you can expect
Are you passionate about building strong governance, supporting leaders, and driving efficiency? We are looking for a hands-on Internal Controls Manager to act as the guardian of our Internal Control System (ICS) and help shape the way we manage risk and compliance across 30+ entities. In this role, you’ll guide and support Finance Managers, Business Controllers, Process Owners, and Control Owners globally — strengthening our global control framework while enabling business success. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in finance transformation, SAP integration, and global standardization—all while working in a collaborative, international environment. This position reports to the ‘Global Head of Group Financial Reporting & Accounting’.

Responsibilities

Lead ICS Governance: Implement and manage a global ICS framework and tool across 30+ legal entities, supported by stand-alone Risk Control Matrices (RCMs) with clearly defined ownership, deadlines, and risk coverage.
Guide and Support Stakeholders: Partner with Country Finance Managers, Business Controllers, Process Owners, Control Owners, and Control Performers to align local controls with global standards and ensure effective execution.
Strengthen IT & Compliance: Enhance ITGC testing and centralized review of segregation of duties (SoD) and audit trails, increasing external auditor reliance and reducing workload.
Improve & Optimize Design: Continuously refine the control framework and process design, ensuring compliance with internal requirements, embedding best practices and driving automation in ICS processes.
Drive Standardization: Roll out consistent, system-driven ICS task management, internal controls structures, and trainings — transitioning to online approvals to cut errors and save time.
Enable Transparency: Deliver quarterly dashboards with regional KPIs and real-time insights for senior management, providing both personalized and global views.

What you will bring

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in internal controls, audit, or risk management in a multinational setting
  • Professional certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CIA, CISA)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, COSO/SOX frameworks, and SAP (S/4HANA or legacy)
  • Proven ability to guide and support cross-functional stakeholders and strengthen governance frameworks
  • Analytical, structured, and collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
  • English is mandatory, German would be a plus
