TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong knowledge of operating within Linux and Mac environments
  • Known and operated open source software
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code
  • Knowledge of single sign on solutions
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of network administration, including:
  • Understanding of DNS, VPN, firewalls, and routing concepts
  • Experience in managing network security, access controls, and monitoring tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure-related issues
  • Security best practices, including:
  • Endpoint security and device management (MDM solutions, patching, and compliance)
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM), including role-based access control.
  • Incident response and threat detection, with the ability to escalate security risks.
  • Data protection and encryption standards.
  • Structured mindset, ensuring organized documentation and process optimization.
  • Great communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex IT concepts for non-technical users. Good communication skills in Norwegian or Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Internal IT Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining internal systems, services, and security measures across Varnish Software. You will be given a high level of autonomy and trust, allowing you to solve issues independently and define the structure of the role.

DAILY TASKS INCLUDE:

Implementation and maintenance of internal systems and services, ensuring optimal performance and security.Managing and improving IT security policies, aligning with ISO27001 and best practices.Creating and maintaining documentation of internal systems and services when needed.Cost control and budgeting for internal IT services and tools.Providing support for colleagues on IT-related issues, ensuring a smooth end-user experience.Managing the internal Helpdesk and handling tickets in a structured and efficient manner.Collaborating on security improvements, including access controls, endpoint security, and incident response plans.Ensuring compliance with ISO27001 and contributing to audits and continuous improvement of security protocols.
