INTERNAL LOGISTICS OPERATOR

Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm
Hourly Rate: £12.65 per hour

Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? Our fab client in Ely is on the hunt for an Internal Logistics Operator to join their growing team! If you’ve got experience in a manufacturing environment, love keeping things organised, and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you. Bonus points if you’ve got a forklift licence or have used one before! IT skills and stock control smarts are a must — you’ll be the glue that keeps everything moving smoothly!

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· A practical, hands-on approach with solid experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles would be a real advantage.
· Confident following time-sensitive Standard Work processes with a strong sense of urgency.
· Excellent attention to detail,
· Ideally a valid counterbalance forklift licence
· Comfortable using ERP systems and electronic workflows via PC, mobile devices, or scanners.
· Strong verbal communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
· Willing to work cross-functionally with other departments while upholding company values.

· Keep materials moving by handling a variety of internal logistics tasks – including stock replenishment, Kanban processes, supermarket fulfilment, and waste handling.
· Operate machinery used to produce and restock materials for the internal supermarket.
· Move materials using a range of equipment like forklifts, powered pallet trucks, and manual handling tools.
· Use electronic workflows to manage material movements, maintain accurate stock levels, and support Kanban systems.
· Manage incoming goods using ERP systems and Kanban processes to keep everything flowing efficiently.
· Safely load and unload vehicles with a variety of stock and materials.
