SUMMARY

The Internal Project Manager manages the delivery of Steele Solutions custom engineered material handling and locker systems on time and within budget, from point of sale to installation. The Project Manager supports the delivery process through meticulous planning, implementation, documentation, coordination and communication.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of previous Project Management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the Material Handling industry is desired
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes highly preferred

GENERAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required. Excellent Excel skills are a plus
  • Excellent communication skills- verbal, written and presentation
  • Strong time management skills: Ability to prioritize, complete tasks with a high level of accuracy, and be attentive to detail in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong problem solving/ analytical skills
  • Solid collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Ability to be decisive, self-driven, and establish credibility while supporting company priorities.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally 10-15% of the time
Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of project charters, project plans, and project schedules.
  • Assist Business Development Manager with project take offs and bid package review.
  • Assists with customer calls
  • Facilitates the administration and maintenance of all project documentation.
  • Enter sales orders accurately into ERP system.
  • Work with customer, dealer and TMP engineering department to obtain project approvals prior to release to production.
  • Supports the delivery of a project in accordance with the schedule.
  • Works with manufacturing and shipping departments to ensure customer orders are correct, on time and deliver to correct location.
  • Performs follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist customers in post-sales items: warranty, installations
  • Provides active conflict resolution and facilitation for both internal employees and external clients, vendors, partners, etc.
  • Fosters positive communication between internal teams and the client.
  • Works with other departments when making tactical decisions ensuring achieving of project goals.
  • Leads small teams (internal and/or client/stakeholders) during engagements.
  • Drives high levels of accountable performance, both internally and externally.
  • Assist in the development of internal business systems and processes.
