This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Internal Quality Assurer to support with the quality assurance process of our City and Guilds Level 2 in Horticulture delivery. Alongside Family Action, you will work in partnership with the College of West Anglia as well as being involved in any external quality assurance processes that take place. The team teach 2 cohorts of students per year at each site, one at our working allotment ESCAPE in Swaffham and the other at The Discovery Community Garden in Kings Lynn.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about sharing knowledge of horticulture as well as a keen eye for detail. The right person will need to be self-motivated, a good communicator and happy to travel between the two sites.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS (FOR DETAILS CHECK THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION):

· Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance
· Wide knowledge and experience of providing assessment and verification procedures
· Experience of working in a learning setting, with the ability to confidently build relationships with professionals, learners and stakeholders.
· The ability to travel to our sites in Swaffham and Kings Lynn- visiting each site 4 times per year.
· Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service – Enhance DBS Required.
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 6 per week

Responsibilities

· Monitor the level of course delivery and work with horticulture teachers to ensure that a high standard of teaching is delivered and maintained.
· Ensure that assessments of learners are being conducted fairly, consistently and correctly as per City and Guilds criteria and supporting teachers with areas of development where necessary.
· Plan and prepare monitoring activities, inclusive of sampling plans and practical observations.
· Complete all relevant and associated documentation and paperwork electronically, submitting to teachers, College of West Anglia and Service Manager as appropriate.
