high-quality apprenticeship programmes across a range of sectors. We are currently seeking
an experienced and motivated Sales Executive IQA to support our Level 4 Sales Executive
apprentices.
Purpose of the Role
The Sales Executive Apprenticeship IQA will be responsible for ensuring the quality,
consistency, and compliance of assessment decisions made by tutors/assessors across the
Sales Executive Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard. They will support the delivery team to
meet awarding body, Ofsted, and ESFA requirements while upholding Excellence Solutions’
quality assurance framework.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Quality Assurance
o Sample and quality-check assessor decisions against KSBs (Knowledge,
Skills, Behaviours) of the Sales Executive Standard.
o Ensure assessment plans, portfolios, and EPA preparations meet regulatory
and awarding body requirements.
o Monitor assessment practice for validity, reliability, sufficiency, authenticity,
and fairness.
o Standardise assessor practice through meetings, training, and sampling plans.
Compliance & Quality
o Maintain compliance with Ofsted, ESFA, and awarding organisation
requirements.
o Keep up-to-date IQA records including sampling strategies, action plans, and
monitoring logs.
o Support readiness for EQA visits, preparing evidence and action responses as
required.
Support & Development
o Provide feedback, coaching, and CPD support to Sales Executive
tutors/assessors.
o Deliver standardisation sessions to ensure consistency in assessment and
evidence-mapping.
o Support assessors with EPA preparation for apprentices (mock interviews,
professional discussions, presentations, etc.).
Employer & Learner Focus
o Ensure assessments reflect real workplace practice and align with employer
needs.
o Promote continuous improvement to enhance apprentice outcomes and
employer satisfaction.
Essential Criteria
Recognised IQA qualification (TAQA Level 4 or equivalent).
Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1, D32/33, or equivalent).
Occupational competence in Sales / Business Development / Commercial roles.
Strong knowledge of the Sales Executive Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard and
EPA requirements.
Understanding of apprenticeship compliance, Ofsted EIF, and ESFA funding rules.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Desirable Criteria
Experience of working as an IQA within apprenticeships or work-based learning.
Strong knowledge of employer engagement and sales training delivery.
Experience of EPA preparation with awarding bodies (NCFE, Pearson, etc.).
Ability to deliver CPD or standardisation training for assessors.
