JOB DESCRIPTION – INTERNAL SALES/ ACCOUNT MANAGER

Edmundson Electrical is a national electrical equipment distributor, with around 380 branches across the country.
Our London Region operations comprise of 36 branches spread across London, all located within the M25 motorway, including our Electric Center Division.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Telesales / Account Manager who has experience within the industry to join one of our branch operations within the M25.
The prime responsibilities of the role are to maintain existing and develop new profitable sales, from a range of customers from various sectors, from contractors to FM and end user business.
You will report directly to the local Branch Manager.
You will have an agreed number of existing (both trading and dormant) accounts and have a new business target for new customers.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Regular, proactive calls on existing, dormant and cold call opportunities, with the key objective in maximising the potential sales and profit to be gained from the customer base.
  • Managing a call plan to create an effective sales presence with all customers, but also be able to react to project opportunities or issues that need to be dealt with urgently.
  • Create a strong personal relationship with all ‘stakeholders’ in the customer business, including Buyers, but other key staff – Estimators, Directors and site operations staff.
  • Promote the key features of our service and stock availability, to put us in the best position to receive orders and enquiries.
  • Obtain Project Quote opportunities from customers, and identify new sales opportunities for products that are currently being ordered elsewhere.
  • Always present a professional image, and act with honesty and integrity in all dealings with customers, and respond to customer enquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Create excellent rapport with other team members, to maximise the support that you receive, to give the customer the best experience.
  • Promote new products and market changes, to keep the customer updated as much as possible. Showing new product samples is a key skill that we are looking for.
  • Ensuring that customers are fully up to date with promotional activities and promotional events that are put on.
  • Provide excellent feedback to the Branch Manager on any customer matters that are relevant, so action can be taken promptly.
