Our client, in the construction industry, is seeking to hire an Internal Sales Manager. They are a leading innovator in the construction supply industry and specializes in the design, fabrication, and delivery of high-quality reinforcement solutions. With advanced manufacturing facilities and a strong presence across Ireland and the UK
This role is ideal for a proven professional with a strong record of accomplishment in business development in the construction sector.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • (Alternatively, a technical or engineering degree with relevant commercial experience.)
  • Additional certifications in Sales Management, CRM systems, or Leadership (preferred).

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years in internal sales, sales operations, or commercial roles, ideally within construction, building materials, or manufacturing.
  • At least 2 years in a sales leadership or team management role across multiple locations.
  • Proven success in outbound sales strategy development and execution.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Pipedrive).

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities, including onboarding and training.
  • Ability to understand technical aspects of reinforcement solutions and related products.
  • Proficient in pipeline management, territory planning, and sales forecasting.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage an internal sales team across Ireland and the UK, ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Build a high-performing sales culture that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and performance standards to drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
  • Oversee outbound sales development, customer engagement, and order execution processes.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent use of CRM systems; drive adoption, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Coordinate closely with field-based Business Development Managers, estimating, and production teams.
  • Provide structured training, coaching, and onboarding for new and existing team members.
  • Manage team workload, prioritize sales activities, and ensure timely quote and order processing.
  • Act as the escalation point for customer issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Develop tactical sales plans and monitor pipeline activity and conversion rates.
  • Produce regular reports on team productivity, sales performance, and market insights.
  • Maintain alignment with commercial leadership on strategy, capacity planning, and customer targeting.
  • Support a primary and secondary region coverage model for internal sales executives to build team resilience.
  • Foster a customer-centric approach to ensure repeat business, satisfaction, and long-term retention.
