Location Requirement: Candidates should reside within Western National’s central region footprint (e.g., Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois, or Iowa) to best support business needs. What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role? Serves as a strategic partner for existing and prospective agency partners by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions. Builds and manages strong relationships with independent agencies, acting as a trusted business partner and representing Western National’s brand and values. Develops and executes territory strategies, including agency management plans and growth initiatives aligned with corporate objectives. Analyzes sales performance metrics and agency data to identify opportunities, improve results, and drive profitability. Collaborates across departments, including underwriting, claims, and marketing to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience. Manages agency production and claims experience through reporting, performance reviews, and implementation of corrective action plans when needed. Owns and maintains a strong sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the territory. Supports and trains agency partners on corporate systems and tools through virtual channels. Participates in internal meetings as a sales representative and contributes to broader sales planning and strategy discussions. Assists in resolving customer and agency concerns related to underwriting, claims, or service, ensuring timely and effective outcomes. Stays informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to enhance sales effectiveness. Requirements What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate? Bachelor's degree in business or marketing; experience in lieu of degree acceptable. Sales and / or marketing experience or relevant education. Valid and unrestricted driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Ability to travel occasionally (less than 10%). Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. A competitive drive to achieve results while maintaining a customer-focused approach. Compensation overview The targeted hiring range for this role is $71,000 - $98,000, annually. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate, as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role.
