Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re recruiting for an enthusiastic and driven Internal Sales Representative to join a leading independent Timber and Builders Merchant that’s been serving the industry for over 150 years. This is a full-time, office-based position, ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and a proactive approach to sales.
You’ll play a key role in supporting clients, managing inbound and outbound sales activity, and helping to grow existing accounts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade and retail customers.
  • Communicate effectively via phone, email, and in person.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and maximise business from existing accounts.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and accurate information.
  • Negotiate terms of sale and close deals with confidence and professionalism.
  • Provide excellent customer service—resolving issues, handling enquiries, and offering product advice.
  • Maintain up-to-date records using internal systems (e.g., CRM).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet sales targets and support daily branch operations.
