Description Position Title: Internal Tools Development Intern Location: Coralville, IA (On-Site) Status: Temporary / Seasonal Internship (Summer 2026) Dates of Internship: Monday, May 26, 2026 – Friday, August 14, 2026 ***Interviews for this internship will begin on Tuesday, January 20, 2026*** Overview: Leepfrog Technologies, Inc. is an education technology company headquartered in the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids region in eastern Iowa. We have a team of over 150 professionals who are passionate about higher education and student success. Leepfrog Technologies’ primary product is CourseLeaf, an academic operations platform that supports curriculum, catalog, scheduling, registration, and syllabi management. Over 500 colleges and universities and 5.5 million students are using CourseLeaf to thrive. The Internal Tools Development Intern will support our Software Support Department by helping them design and develop internal tools to track and manage a variety of customer support-related metrics. This intern will have a unique opportunity to gain experience in software development while also learning the importance of quality customer service. The ideal candidate will have a combination of an interest in working with software, a passion for education and student success, and an appreciation for working with customers. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain internal software tools that enhance team efficiency. Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose solutions. Automate manual workflows and optimize internal processes. Integrate internal systems with third-party APIs and databases. Debug and troubleshoot software issues in a collaborative environment. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development. Requirements Skills and Qualifications: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, etc. Familiarity with web development frameworks and technologies. Understanding of databases and API integrations. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Familiarity with scripting and automation tools. Physical Requirements: The Internal Tools Development Intern will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
