Description

THE COMPANY

As one of the largest independent industrial door companies in the UK, BID Group have been providing service, repair, and installation solutions for all types of industrial doors, loading bay equipment, high speed doors, automatic doors, gates, barriers and turnstiles across the country for over 35 years.
With depots strategically located across the UK providing national coverage, and a network of over 60 mobile teams, we continue to strive to deliver the same uncompromising quality that has helped build our brand reputation and retain a strong portfolio of clients that includes many of the best-known UK brands.
We understand that our people are key to our success and are looking for the best people to help us to continue with our record growth.

Responsibilities

Due to internal promotion, we have an opportunity for an Internal Trainer to join our business.
Working closely with our Operations Directors, you will assist in developing the competence of our engineers by formulating, delivering and evaluating in-house training activities in accordance with industry and safety standards and by monitoring and assessing engineers against specified competencies.
You will have a good technical knowledge of, and experience within the industrial door industry. Previous training experience and/or an assessor qualification would be advantageous, although a good working knowledge of our industry and products is more important, with the role potentially suiting an experienced engineer looking for a new challenge.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential, as are good organisational skills and attention to detail.
The role will involve delivering training to our engineers across the UK and so a full driving licence is essential. as is a willingness to travel and ability to work away from home where required.
Ideally, the role would suit someone within a reasonable travel distance to our training centre in the Midlands (Wednesbury), although candidates based within other regions will be considered.
