Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting an International Administrator to join Te Haumiri - International Student Experience Team on a 3-month, fixed-term, full-time basis.  The International Administrator is often a first point of contact for students, and will contribute to providing a positive experience to all international students, including Manaaki New Zealand Scholars. The role will provide reliable and efficient administration support for the wider Te Haumiri - International Student Experience Team and play a key role in planning and delivering events.    This is a fixed‑term role for 3 months (from 28 April 2026 to 31 July 2026). Key responsibilities:  * Deliver friendly and efficient frontline advice and services to international students, staff, and visitors. * Provide administrative support for Te Haumiri - International Student Experience Team.  * Actively participate in the planning and delivery of events for international students, including international orientation.   * Manage enquiries from international students and from staff. Ō pūmanawa - About you You will be enthusiastic with superb customer service skills, and a passion for supporting international students. You will be motivated, able to take initiative, provide excellent administration, have good IT skills, and make improvements to processes and procedures along the way.    You will thrive in this role with patience and sensitivity, strong attention to detail, and self-management skills. Most of all, you will be open to new people and ideas.  Key requirements:  * Reception, or other customer service experience, or experience working as an administrator. * Ability to work efficiently and independently in a busy frontline environment.   * High proficiency in English language communication skills (oral, written, listening, cross-cultural). * Good IT skills and experience working with MS office suite and databases. * Ability to respond proactively to a variety of situations and to an ethnically diverse range of people in a culturally sensitive way.   * Excellent problem-solving skills.
