International Admissions and Enrolment Coordinator (F)

Applicants will be considered in the following order:
- Qualified permanent ESS/OSSTF Bargaining Unit employees.
- Qualified probationary, temporary and Temporary Hourly Rated THR ESS/OSSTF employees.
- Qualified external applicants (includes employees from other Bargaining Units)
Reporting to the Business Services Manager (or designate), the successful candidate will be responsible for processing international student admissions, supporting international student intake appointments, providing financial and statistical analysis, responding to questions from internal and external clients, and completing Ministry enrolment reporting to ensure accountability and compliance.
The successful applicant for this Educational Support Staff Level F position will be working 35 hours per week, 12 months per year, effective as soon as possible.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in business-related field (e.g. Business Administration, Global/International Relations, etc.);
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients from a variety of cultures;
- Ability to communicate in another language, in addition to English, is a desired asset;
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and the ability to convey a positive and empathetic attitude when dealing with internal and external clients;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, GSuite and Adobe Acrobat;
- Familiarity with student systems (Aspen, School-Day), Ministry reporting systems (OnSIS), spreadsheets, and electronic data management systems (e.g. Laserfiche) is an asset;
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of, and apply, relevant legislation, regulations, Board policies and procedures (as outlined in the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the Ontario Education Act);
- Experience presenting training materials to a range of audiences in various settings is an asset;
- Ability to work in a detail-oriented work environment and maintain confidentiality on a broad range of personal and business information; and
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and respond constructively to pressure, emotional situations and when dealing with conflicts or complaints;
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for occasional travel to school locations.
