Our Independent School Authority is expanding its educational initiatives by establishing an international school in Calgary. We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable International Admissions Officer to help establish and lead our admissions department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the international admissions department for the school.
  • Oversee the full admissions process for international students, ensuring compliance with Alberta school-level admission requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) regulations related to international student enrolment.
  • Manage admission procedures related to boarding, lodging, and student welfare for school-age international students.
  • Provide accurate guidance and support to international families regarding admission processes, documentation, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to streamline admissions policies and ensure a smooth student experience.
  • Maintain accurate student admission records and generate regular reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum); a higher degree will be considered an asset.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in international student admissions, preferably at the school level.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta’s school admission requirements and IRCC regulations.
  • Familiarity with boarding and lodging procedures for international students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and parents from diverse backgrounds.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in setting up new processes.
