JOB SUMMARY

As an International Business Development Manager, you will drive growth by identifying potential clients and converting inquiries into new business. Your role involves presenting our services to global key accounts, developing relationships, and supporting our current customers in understanding our offerings. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, along with CRM system experience. Passion for ethical supply chains and responsible business practices is key. Knowledge of UK/EU legislation, certification bodies, and an industry network is advantageous.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (NOT ESSENTIAL)

  • Working with NGOs, certification bodies (e.g., Sedex, BSCI, SA8000), or sustainability teams.
  • Knowledge of UK and EU supply chain legislation.
  • Existing network within industries like retail, apparel, or consumer goods is highly advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
  • Ongoing review of a comprehensive market analysis of the UK’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) supply chain risk management and auditing needs, encompassing the competitive landscape, market opportunities, and best practices.
  • Strategically develop UK key account customers, promoting our global service offerings across Asia and Europe.
  • Identify, approach, and engage potential clients in need of supply chain compliance, auditing, or ESG services.
  • Contribute to Tenders and play an integral role in the tendering process
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including procurement leaders, sustainability officers, and compliance teams.
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic planning, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations (e.g., Modern Slavery Act, EU CSDDD), and market needs to inform business strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, audit, compliance, marketing) to deliver tailored solutions for prospective clients.
  • Manage and update sales pipelines using CRM tools, and report on key metrics to leadership.
  • Attend and represent Verisio at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
