About the Firm A top-tier international law firm with a strong global presence, known for its progressive and commercially minded approach to legal advice, combining practical, business-focused thinking with deep legal expertise.

The Role The firm is looking for a Risk & Compliance Officer to join its Risk & Compliance team in Dubai, providing practice support across risk, regulatory compliance, and conflicts.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesSupport matter inception and new client/matter onboarding in line with regulatory standards and firm policy
  • Conduct client due diligence, review KYC documentation, and carry out AML and sanctions searches, escalating issues to the MLRO as needed
  • Assist with the uniform application of engagement terms and review client-imposed terms
  • Perform ongoing monitoring and risk assessment of client and matter changes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date matter information
  • Review and help keep firm policies current with regulatory requirements
  • Support compliance reporting, including weekly/monthly status reports
  • Help set up and maintain information barriers and insider lists
  • Deliver internal training to embed best practice
  • Contribute to research and process improvement projects
  • Support Risk Lawyers with annual internal file audits
  • Collaborate with Revenue & Collections, Marketing, and Conflicts teams as needed
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from the business


  • What We're Looking ForMinimum 1 year's experience in a compliance function within a regulated organisation. Prior experience within a law firm is not essential; however, candidates with a purely banking background are less likely to be suitable for this role
  • Law degree or GDL qualification, with some legal work experience
  • AML experience
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is essential
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Ability to identify conflicts and risk within a law firm (training provided if needed)
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and projects, working both independently and as part of a global team
  • High proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
