TruMerit is hiring an International Credentials Evaluator in the following departments to review and evaluate the credentials of applicants:

  • Credentials Evaluation Service
  • National Nursing Assessment Service
  • International Consultants of Delaware

Requirements:

EDUCATION:

  • Baccalaureate degree required; Concentration in international affairs, international relations, political science, foreign languages, or comparative education preferred.
  • Commitment to continuing education in international credentialing, global education, or related fields required.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • One year of full-time work experience in international education credentials evaluation or admissions preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Knowledge of a foreign language preferred.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and compare international education

Responsibilities
  • International Credentials Evaluators (ICEs) perform a range of cross-divisional duties and critically evaluate documents and supporting materials of Level 1 applications, ensuring that the credentials/records are complete and authentic, and making decisions regarding applicant eligibility for the applicable program.
  • They prepare reports for foreign-educated nurses and meet established productivity and quality goals.
  • They handle complex applicant inquiry visits along with general telephone, email and fax inquiries and prepare comprehensive and accurate correspondence as assigned for applicants, schools, professional healthcare boards and others.
  • They collect and analyze data regarding operational procedures and make recommendations for improvements that are operationally sound and fiscally responsible.
  • They participate in special project teams departmentally and interdepartmentally, represent TruMerit at conferences, are integral to the orientation of new employees and perform any other duties assigned deemed applicable to the position.
  • The role requires in-depth research of international education systems, curricula, and professional standards to ensure accurate and fair evaluation of applicants’ qualifications.
