Description
    The International Director of Accounting will join the Accounting Leadership Team and will report to the Global Accounting leader and be the Accounting team liaison for the CEE region.     The role takes responsibility for the Company’s Central and Eastern European (CEE) accounting operations, leading a cross country team.   This position will lead and manage general accounting, audit, local tax compliance, transfer pricing and financial statement preparation.   Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: * Oversee all elements of accounting and reporting for the region, including overall ownership of Central and Eastern European accounting functions.   * Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting and maintaining internal controls.   * Lead, guide and develop the Central and Eastern European international accounting team   Experience of leading teams across multiple countries is essential.   The Director of International Accounting will join the Global Accounting Leadership Team and be tasked with helping to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax, regulation and comply with IFRS and statutory reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with the SVP of Accounting and also manage the regional Accounting teams. Additionally, the Director of International Accounting will deliver continuous improvements to accounting processes and procedures.   Responsibilities will include: • Provision of commercial finance insight and analysis to the Divisional Leadership team • Oversee all elements of finance and reporting for the region. • Lead, guide and develop the accounting team • Create a culture of cooperation and common goals, focusing on shared success as a team • 25%-40% travel to Central and Eastern European countries   The Director of International Accounting will have to demonstrate the following attributes:   • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) • Experience of working in a growing, internationally-focused business • A 'lead by example' individual who can develop a team via coaching and development • Able to influence a wide group of stakeholders     Candidate Profile:   • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent. • ACA/ACMA/ACCA or equivalent. • Extensive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 10 years in a leadership capacity •  Provides technical and operation leadership across accounting functions • Experience of leading teams/supporting businesses in a multi-country, multi-product environment is essential. • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and influence at high levels (Sr Leadership/Function heads). • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people/teams in a matrix and regional environment towards a common vision. •  Ensure accurate and timely month, quarterly and annual accounting close processes and reporting. •  Establish internal controls and processes and oversees local audits.
