Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an Experienced “International Key Account Manager” with prior experience dealing directly with suppliers or factories in China, to take full ownership of all aspects of the “Product Order Management Process” in support of our USA Sales Office.
The primary role is ensuring that all vital customer orders placed by the USA Office are managed professionally throughout the process, from artwork approvals, sampling approvals & ultimately to meet agreed production schedules so products are delivered on-time against tight time scales.
The role also requires that all orders are monitored & managed throughout all testing procedures and all product shipments are compliant with individual customer protocols on product safety testing, product quality and packaging quality expectations.
Experience in logistics and importing procedures would be ideal,
The role is highly administrative so a strong working knowledge of spreadsheets & working with critical paths is recommended.
The role will involve training on product order management, critical path maintenance, knowledge of testing requirements & processes, price negotiations and the ability to manage & calculate container loading plans and costings.
A key requirements is the ability to develop strong partnerships with our RMS teams in China & our key suppliers to achieve the desired results. This is a crucial part of the role, achieved through good communication on a daily basis, via various methods, email, phone and on-line.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To professionally manage the “Production Schedule” of each order - “Step by Step” through artwork approvals, sampling, manufacturing & product testing with a clear focus on achieving shipment dates in line with our customers’ expectations.
  • Managing a substantial orderbook of products across several toy categories for key customers based in the USA / Canada & South America.
  • Working with the US Office to confirm order details, check for sample approvals / feedback & chase up production approvals on a daily basis in order to avoid delays in schedules that ultimately may risk us achieving the shipment dates promised to our customers.
  • Assisting USA Buying Departments in sourcing new products & samples from the Far East.
  • Constantly looking to improve on RMS International’s high standards of product quality & packaging whilst working diligently with suppliers to protect margin.
  • Assisting USA Buying Departments Negotiate with suppliers on product orders, production scheduling and product pricing where necessary.
  • Work with QC Dept’s in FE Offices to ensure products are reviewed & tested properly and meet all International requirements for product Testing and Compliance across all product safety standards for their specific market.
