JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced International Logistics & Import Specialist to manage all aspects of our international flooring shipments—from overseas supplier coordination to final delivery at our U.S. facilities. This role is critical in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant import operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in global logistics, U.S. import regulations, and vendor management. Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. This role is remote!

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor all international shipments, including booking arrangements, carrier selection, and scheduling to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and process all required import documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin).
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, tariffs, trade agreements, and other government agency requirements.
  • Partner closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international carriers to resolve documentation issues, delays, or customs holds.
  • Track and trace all shipments from origin to destination, providing updates and resolving delivery issues as needed.
  • Analyze import and logistics data to identify trends, optimize processes, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and shipping documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Evaluate performance and compliance of international vendors, freight partners, and service providers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including purchasing, warehouse, and accounting to ensure smooth inbound flow and cost tracking.
  • Stay informed on changes in import regulations, global shipping trends, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure ongoing compliance and efficiency.
