You will manage patient cases around the world while sitting comfortably at our Lakeside Office in Portsmouth or at home in your pyjamas -our role is a hybrid working model with a full in-office training program followed by mentored supervision.
You will be part of our team assessing whether medical treatment is appropriate, overseas facilities suitable, whether urgent evacuation is required and deciding how to get your patient back home. You will liaise directly with overseas treating teams, organise accepting beds in the UK and other countries. You will be exposed to the world of insurance medicine looking at cover decisions and working alongside your non-medical colleagues.
We are a friendly team of over 30 doctors and nurses working together to obtain the best outcome for our patients.
We are looking for nurses with broad knowledge bases who have worked in fields such as ICU, ED, cruise ship medicine or military medicine.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 5 years post registration experience
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Confidence to challenge treating medical teams
  • Empathy and a desire to enhance the patient journey
  • A strong work ethic
  • IT competency
  • UK nationality or unrestricted right to work in the UK
Responsibilities
  • Respond to calls and, consult with clients and colleagues in a timely manner and always in accordance with triage priorities.
  • Liaise with patients, hospitals, and medical staff across the globe to ensure the correct and appropriate treatment is being given
  • Complete accurate and focussed reviews and reports
  • Keep Case Managers updated with cover decisions
  • Assess when and how patients are fit to return home
  • Deal with all calls in confidence and in an empathetic manner
  • Provide safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care
