International Operations Manager
This is a hands-on, people-first leadership position, requiring a Leader to guide our dynamic Manufacturing and Engineering Teams at the forefront of innovation for our recycled rubber manufacturing facilities in both Canada and the US. The Operations Manager will lead our Manufacturing and Engineering teams with the primary focus being leadership, alignment with company vision, and ensuring the team has the tools and support needed to deliver their best and most efficient work.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and strategic direction to the Teams.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability and innovation to empower team members meet their potential
- Work with your Teams to maximize production efficiency
- Develop plan in cooperation with Engineers, Production Managers, Logistics, Purchasing, Accounting, and QC to ensure top quality products are being delivered to our Customers
- Ongoing champion for Lean and 5S practices to ensure adherence and sustainability
- Lead daily/weekly meetings with Supervisors, Lead hands and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and execution of company’s objectives
- Enact corrective/disciplinary measures with staff as required in accordance with company policies
- Implement and sustain effective cross training programs including creation of SOP’s
- Establish and maintain clear project timelines, budgets, and objectives.
- Provide support and collaborative problem-solving to improve operations across plants.
- Identify future needs in training, tools, and equipment to support ongoing business growth.
- Mentor team members to support internal leadership development and individual career growth.
- Contribute new ideas and solutions that drive innovation and company-wide advancement.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership and management experience, ideally in a manufacturing or related environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects across business functions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- Skilled in delegating responsibility while maintaining accountability for results.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to read and respond to team dynamics effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel between facilities in Canada and the U.S. as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fast learner with a proactive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
