Job Description The International Caribbean Reporter Intern will cover international content focused on the West Indies region as their regular beat for Modern Treatise. Responsibilities: Write a weekly column covering the social, economic, and political topics related to the West Indies from a Carrbbean perspective. Special region-related coverage. Duration: 6 months This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience. Official Start Date: ASAP Qualifications The candidate should be adept at understanding the domestic and geopolitics of the West Indies. The candidate should be adept at understanding the nuances of domestic politics across the West Indies. The candidate must be able to look at geopolitical subject matters from multiple perspectives. The candidate must be adept at relying on fact-based evidence rather than political or activist wish-thinking. The candidate should be adept at understanding the ever-shifting state of the economy or economies of the West Indies.
