INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADVISOR
to work in International Student Peer Advice.
We will hire one advisor to work part-time (25%=9h a week) during the period of May/June 2025 – July 2026. Three international student advisors work currently in the service, and they are excited to share their knowledge and experience with the new advisor.
International Student Peer Advice (ISPA) is a service directed to international degree students in Aalto University. With this service we want to provide more profound support and encountering to our newly admitted and current international degree students. The international student advisors have an important role in developing our student services and they get to encounter students and help them as peers The advisors themselves are international students in Aalto and their tasks include:
The work of an international student advisor is both independent and teamwork. We are looking for an advisor who is currently an attending bachelor’s or master’s degree student in Aalto University and has moved to Finland from abroad for these studies. The advisor needs to be helpful, have a proactive attitude and good time management skills. The administrative part of the work requires precision and understanding for the importance of guidelines. An excellent command of written and spoken English is required. Prior experience in customer service or university administration is an advantage.
The ISPA service desk at the Undergraduate Centre is currently open Mon-Wed at 12-15 pm. We expect the hired advisor to be able to work at the service desk two times a week during the opening hours. The advisors are also expected to take part in different events for international students during the orientation week and academic year.

Please note, that since this is a student role, we will not be able to hire recent graduates of Aalto University or students who graduate during spring term 2025.
